TEN many thanks for your welcome and compliments.

i self follow the progress from your Dodge since a long time.
your Dodge is a icon of art.
i wish i had your skill.

the tires working not so good.
the tires on my jeep are hard.
i wait in this time for better tires and hope the new tires are soft enough.
but i have this jeep not build as crawler with his leaf springs.
my wish is nearly by the original jeep.

Georg,the owner from truckmonster.de,
have made this rims as a special order from me.
and i think we all know hand crafted work is price intensive.

Jeepfriend, have you find new tires?

I found these when i was looking for tires fo my dodge http://barnhausen.com/8087lkw.htm
A little expensive and as i could understand it they are homogeneous so probably not the best off-road capabities but they are fairly scalish.
There are other sizes on that site to.

i have in this time two options for tires and wait.

the first is a american maker.
he will make some sets like the SOTW tires for me and Robert de Ruyter
(owner from dataplates4u.com)
THE SOTW TIRES ARE A LITTLE OVERSCALE

and the second: is BARNHAUSEN
i have send him a muster tire for the mold.
but i wait since over six months.

a another maker is http://www.modellreifen.de/
hi can make your tires in your wish size and with military profil from rubber.
i think the outside diameter from the Dodge tires are 15cm
and wide 4cm in 1/6.
i think your DODGE must have a set tires/rims with the original look
and a another softer set for the fun.

The correct scale dimensions are 157x45mm and the tires that i've got now is perfect.
The once i've got actually work pretty well in the terrain so the will have to do.

Har gjort färdigt verktygen till bakluckan och börjat på ramverket över lastutrymmet.

Hobbymässan i Göteborg den 17-18 April 2010 tycker jag skulle vara ett utmärkt tillfälle att visa upp denna fantastiska modell för lite fler folk...

(..och så att jag själv får se den i verkligheten...) Boka redan nu, så har du en tydlig deadline att jobba mot om det är några fler saker du har tänkt att lägga till (inte för att det behövs, men ändå...

) Vore kul med flera 1/6-fordon på mässan (Kanske en Stuart Johan

) även statiska fordon + figurer tycker jag skulle kunna passa in!

Tack falcon.

Även om den första versionen var helt enligt originalritningarna var jag inte nöjd med resultatet så jag har jag skrotat det och håller nu på med version 2. Flärpen är i det närmaste klar, även där krävs lite modifieringar för att det ska funka i skala.
